JEE: IIT, NIT and IIIT admission

JoSAA counselling for JEE students in Nagpur

JoSAA is the common online counselling for the IITs, NITs, IIITs and other government-funded technical institutes. A good JEE rank is only half the journey - the seat you get depends on how carefully you fill your choices and how you respond in every round. We guide students and parents step by step, in person at Sitabuldi, Nagpur, or online.

How we help

  • Understanding which counselling you are eligible for: JEE Advanced rank for the IITs, JEE Main rank for the NITs, IIITs and GFTIs, and the Home State and Other State quotas of the NITs.
  • A realistic list of institutes and branches for your rank and category, using the previous years’ opening and closing ranks published on the official portal, josaa.nic.in.
  • Choice filling in the right order, with a long enough list that you are never left without a seat.
  • Clear advice after every allotment on freeze, float or slide, and on when to accept, upgrade or wait for the next round.
  • A checklist of documents (JEE scorecards, Class 10 and 12 certificates, OBC-NCL or EWS certificate in the correct format) ready before the deadlines.
  • A back-up plan with MHT CET CAP rounds, so one process never decides everything.

Common questions

What is JoSAA counselling?

JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) runs one common online counselling for admission to the IITs, NITs, IIITs and other government-funded technical institutes. You register once on josaa.nic.in and fill a single list of choices.

How many rounds are there?

The number of rounds is announced in the official schedule every year. After JoSAA ends, CSAB usually conducts special rounds for vacant seats. We follow the current year’s schedule with you.

What are freeze, float and slide?

Freeze means you accept the allotted seat and leave the later rounds. Float means you accept it but want to be considered for a higher choice anywhere in your list. Slide means you want a better branch only within the same institute.

Can I do JoSAA and MHT CET counselling together?

Yes. Many Maharashtra students keep both going, so a state seat is a safe back-up. We plan both together.

Do you guarantee a seat in an IIT or NIT?

No. Seats depend on rank, category and the choices of other students. We help you make the best possible choices with the facts available.
